 Political Forces Influencing Education and The School

    Based on my understanding, politic and school are related with each other. The politic system serve important functions for education while schooling has a great impact on politics in terms of economic development and socialization. Basically, the introduction to the use of NEP was a great approach to build the equity at the same time making the government participate in the economy. It was targeting to reduce the overall poverty in Malaysia by restructuring the economy. As a result, the percentage of Bumiputera graduates abroad reach the highest percentage as well as the educational gap between the urban and rural students is bridged. Additionally, the NEP also stated the importance of racial harmony such as solving problems together and achieve the togetherness. Therefore, the integrated school that was introduced by the government seen as a excellent approach as it can unite the multi-races in Malaysia under one education system. Overall, I can say that Malaysia that known as multicultural society actually included the multiculturalism, pluralism and dualism.
